Man হলো Common noun. যে Noun দ্বারা কোন ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা প্রাণীকে নির্দিষ্ট করে না বুঝিয়ে সে জাতীয় সকলকে একসাথে বুঝায়, তাকে Common noun বলে।
eg: student, book, dog, king etc.
Proper noun: কোন কিছুর নাম বুঝাতে যে noun বা বিশেষ্য পদের ব্যবহার করা হয় তাকে proper noun বলে।
Collective noun : যে সব বিশেষ্য পদ ব্যক্তি বস্তু কিংবা প্রাণীর সমষ্টি বা দলকে বুঝায় তাদেরকে Collective noun বলে।
eg: Class, Pack, Pair, Fleet etc.
Material noun : যে noun দ্বারা ওজন আছে কিন্তু গণনা করা যায় না তাকে material noun বলে।
eg: Gold, Glass, Salt, Iron, Silvoz
